Just under €45k raised in 24 hours for family of toddler killed in Clare crash

The child’s father is also in a critical condition

NEARLY €45,000 has been raised to support the family of a three-year-old girl who died from injuries she sustained in a car crash last week.

Estlin Wall died after she suffered brain injuries in the crash that happened on the N85 Ennis to Ennistymon road near Inagh in Co Clare.

Her life support machine was turned off last week and little Estlin died in her mother’s arms. Her father, who was driving her to creche at the time of the crash, sustained serious head injuries. He is still unconscious in a Dublin hospital.

In a little over 24 hours, €44,432.76 had been raised to help Estlin’s mother Amy. She just recently gave birth to her 12-week-old son Mannix.

A statement on the fundraising page read: “The doctors have said that Vinnie’s recovery will be a long road and it’s impossible to tell how his long-term condition will be. Many people have been asking how they can help, so we here in Ennistymon have set up this fund to provide Amy with some financial assistance for the difficult times ahead and Vinnie’s rehabilitation.

Thank you to everyone in Clare who has already contributed cash – this will all go into the same account in Ennistymon, which Amy will have sole access to. And thank you in advance to those who can contribute any amount, no matter how small.

Actor and The Stunning musician Steven Wall is Vincent’s brother and he shared the fundraising page saying the family is “devastated” by what happened.

“It’s a tragedy beyond belief and we are all in bits.,” Steve Wall wrote on his Facebook page.

“The details of Estlin’s funeral in Ennistymon will be on RIP.ie soon. Please don’t send any flowers, but consider donating something, no matter how small, to this fund set up by the community of Ennistymon to help Amy and Vinnie through the difficult times ahead and Vincent’s rehabilitation.”
